NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Monroe is holding a Public Hearing for Proposed Local Law #4 of 2020 to Amend Chapter 23 of the Town of Monroe Code for Building Construction Administration. The Public Hearing will be held on August 31, 2020 at 7:00 PM or as there soon after at Monroe Town Hall 1465 Orange Turnpike, Monroe, NY 10950.

Public Information: If you plan on attending this public hearing, a mask must be worn while entering and exiting the building and for the entire duration of your visit. Meeting attendees arriving prior to the 7:00 p.m. meeting start time should enter through the upper level doors where a contactless temperature check will be conducted. Those arriving after 7:00 p.m. must enter the meeting room directly from the patio located off the parking lot on the Reynolds Road side of the Town Hall Building. Admittance will not be permitted via the building's main entrance after 7 p.m.

A maximum of thirty-two (32) individuals will be admitted to the location on a first come, first serve basis until further notice. Individuals exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, difficulty breathing) should not visit the building. All efforts to will be made to ensure that individuals desiring to speak at public hearings have the opportunity to do so. Some occupants may be asked to step outside if attendance exceeds 32 persons and a person is waiting outside of the meeting room to speak.

The Town of Monroe will make every effort to assure that the public hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodations should contact the Town Clerk.

The Village of Monroe Water Department is working through a water main break in the vicinity of Lakes Road and you may experience a water outage or pressure reduction including discoloration.
Please be aware that we will keep you updated as we work to restore water service throughout the Village and will advise our residents of any concerns going forward.
